Nederlands: DNA, dat is iets met genen, ofzo, toch? Dat klopt, maar DNA-moleculen zijn tegelijkertijd als een draaiorgel, een nanomachine en een wenteltrap in één. Hoe dat zit, en hoe zo’n divers molecuul uiteindelijk je hele lichaam opbouwt, dat legt dr. ir. Marc van Mil van de Universiteit Utrecht uit in dit college.
Deze week in Universiteit van Nederland: DNA-expert dr. ir. Marc van Mil! Dr. ir. Marc van Mil is universitair docent en onderwijsinnovator aan de faculteit Biomedische Wetenschappen van de Universiteit Utrecht. Zijn onderwijstalent zat er al vroeg in. Als student ontwikkelde hij een reizend DNA-lab waar scholieren van de middelbare school onder begeleiding van studenten Biomedische Wetenschappen hun DNA in kaart konden brengen. Zijn inspirerende manier van lesgeven leverde hem in 2013 de titel Jong Docententalent op. |
