English: These Regulations make amendments to social security and pensions regulations in consequence of the coming into force of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (“the Act”). The Act, which extends throughout the United Kingdom, provides for the regulation of financial services, insurance and banking and for the transfer of certain statutory functions relating to building societies and certain other mutual societies.
