The Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (Commencement No. 2) Order 2001
Description
English: This Order brings into force on 30th April 2001 section 416(1)(c) and, in part, section 432(3) of, and Schedule 22 to, the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (“the Act”). These provisions repeal the Insurance Brokers (Registration) Act 1977. The Order also brings into force on 30th April 2001 section 416(3)(a) of the Act which provides that the Insurance Brokers Registration Council, a body established pursuant to the Insurance Brokers (Registration) Act 1977, ceases to exist.
