Summary[edit]

Description
English: Above the mist blanketing the surrounding desert, a 360-degree panorama of ESO's La Silla Observatory is captured as the Sun sets at the end of the world. The sky is filled with a palette of colours as reds give way to brilliant blues, under which a smattering of telescopes — including the distinctive MPG/ESO 2.2-metre telescope with its silver dome — begin their nightly observations.
