Welcome to the Childbirth and Maternity Center at Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, N.J., where you can expect the best experience and medical care in a family-centered environment. The months leading up to your delivery are full of important decisions. Whether you are currently expecting or just thinking about having a baby, it is helpful to research childbirth centers to better understand the clinical expertise as well as the experience you will have as you welcome your baby into the world. This video tour is designed to do just that.

Upon arrival, our expectant mothers are greeted by our warm team and are ushered to one of our private labor delivery suites, which include private bathrooms. After delivery, mother, baby and partner are offered the option of the Magic Hour: a very intimate and private time where the family can be alone together, allowing for skin-to-skin contact to support bonding, and helping the baby adjust to life outside the womb.

After labor and delivery you will move to a private recovery room, with a beautiful view of the Navesink River. And, your baby will be seen by one of our board certified pediatricians. The Childbirth Center also boasts a team of magnet-recognized nurses and certified lactation consultants to help guide you through the delivery and after. You can also rest easy knowing you have access to a dedicated team of neonatologists for more specialized care.

For babies requiring extra care at birth, we offer a state-of-the-art, Level 2 neo-natal intensive care unit, also called the Special Care Nursery. As part of Hackensack Meridian Health, Riverview’s Childbirth Center is connected to K. Hovnanian Children’s Hospital at Jersey Shore University Medical Center..

In addition to providing a high level of medical care, Riverview offers a multitude of personal touches, including an onsite concierge service, which can assist with personal errands, information requests, spa services, and even room service from local restaurants. We also offer a 15-minute photography session, courtesy of Bella Baby Photography, to capture the most precious first moments with your new baby. We also provide a special candlelight dinner for two on the second night of your stay, offering private time to relax and connect with your partner.
