Summary[edit]

Description
English: inhalers and nebulizers are virtual devices used by clinicians to treat chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). The effectiveness of the machine used depends on patients' perceptions of the device. Also, the point of drug inhaled is influenced by the beliefs and opinions towards the mode of therapy. Patients' perception of the treatment method determines their adherence to the treatment.

The study involved 11 patients who actively took part in the questionnaire. The majority of the population preferred nebulizers as the method of COPD treatment. Also, most of the patients agreed that nebulizers are easy to use and can relieve pain faster than inhalers.

From the study, most patients are always comfortable with the easy-to-use technique. Beliefs, processes, and perceptions affect the outcome, and therefore, policymakers should implement policies to increase awareness of modes of therapy among patients and clinicians.
