Summary[edit]

Description
English: "Bare ruined choirs where once the sweet birds sang..." The remains of Llanthony priory, which functioned from the 12th to the 15th century, have an incomparable setting and have probably attracted more attention since the Dissolution than before. In the woods behind are the remains of a mansion built by the poet Walter Savage Landor who owned the priory in the C19.
