English: The US Postal Service plans to close hundreds of mail processing plants nationwide-- including the one in Tucson, Arizona. Thousands of postal workers nationwide would be laid off if the USPS closes the proposed ~300 plants. Jobs with Justice, Occupy Tucson, and Postal Workers marched and demonstrated to keep 400 union jobs and same-day service in Tucson. More than 500 people attended the public hearing on Dec. 28, 2011. |
