Description
English: Isolated brain pericytes show contractile activity on laminin-coated silicone substrates. Flat pericytes generate parallel moving-wrinkles (red arrowheads, in the regions delimited by the red dashed lines), organized around highly contractile nodes (red arrows). Yellow dashed lines outline the internode regions where wrinkles move and pivot (yellow arrowheads), while the green arrowhead points to a raised, non-wrinkling, activated pericyte in an anti-node region (approximated by the green dashed boundary). Δtime: 6 min 30 sec; time: 1 hour 30 min; rate: 3 fps.
