Cas9 in complex with single guide RNA and target DNA

Summary[edit]

Description
English: Cas9 in complex with single guide RNA is used as a molecular tool for gene therapy. SpCas9 endonuclease uses the single guide RNA to find a specific target sequence to introduce double-strand break. Then, the cell introduces a mutation at the site of the break through the repair mechanisms of damaged DNA.
