Svenska: Alphems arboretum ligger i Floby socken i Vilske härad, Falköpings kommun, f.d. Skaraborgs län, Västergötland, Västra Götalands län, Sverige. På bilden ses en jordkällare omgiven av främst barrträd. I bakgrunden till vänster en europeisk silvergran (Abies alba) planterad 1898 (och alltså 113 år gammal vid fototillfället) och i mitten två hemlocksgranar, den vänstra är en västamerikansk hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla) och den högra är en bergshemlock (Tsuga mertensiana). På bilden ses även en hängform av nutkacypress (Callitropsis nootkatensis, även kallad Chamaecyparis nootkatensis) och flera idegranar (Taxus sp.).
English: Alphems arboretum is a garden in Floby parish, Vilske hundred, Falköping municipality, former Skaraborg county, Västergötland, Västra Götaland county, Sweden. In the picture we see a root cellar surrounded by mostly conifers. To the left in the background is an European silver fir (Abies alba) planted in 1898 (113 years old at the moment of the photo). In the middle there are two hemlocks, the left one is a Western Hemlock (Tsuga heterophylla), and the right one is a Mountain Hemlock (Tsuga mertensiana). In the picture a pedular form of Nootka Cypress (Callitropsis nootkatensis) and some yews (Taxus sp.) can be seen. |
