17 Battalion, London Regiment Lt Aganoor enlisted in the Queen's Westminsters on outbreak of war in August 1914. He was posted to the Western Front in November 1914 where he served until receiving his commission in January 1916. He was killed in action at High Wood during the Battle of the Somme on 15 September 1916 and is buried at Caterpillar Valley Cemetery, Longueval.
