	Source: Harper's Weekly
	Date: August 3, 1912, p. 1

Complete HarpWeek Explanation:

Published on the eve of the Progressive Party National Convention, this Harper’s Weekly cover lampoons the gathering as food for the gigantic ego of Theodore Roosevelt, the new party’s soon-to-be presidential nominee. Delegates can enter the convention only through the hot-air chamber of Roosevelt’s big mouth. The lemonade stand in the left foreground reveals that the former president was the only one of the three major nominees in 1912 to endorse women’s suffrage. The convention opened in Chicago on August 5, 1912.
