Description |
English: 'Madagascar', East Indiaman, 1000 tons Print entitled ' Madagascar, East Indiaman, 1000 tons'. The print is framed and the bears the text which reads 'To Captain Fortescue Wm Harris and the officers of the ship, this print is most respectfully dedicated by the Publisher'. The 'Madagascar' was built in London in 1837, probably by Green's, for their London to India run. The lighthouse on the right is probably the Eddystone, indicating a Channel location. |
