Charley Straight was pianist, composer, piano roll artist and bandleader based in Chicago. He was part of the transformation from ragtime to jazz, as evidenced by this nice early jazz piece titled as a rag and labelled as a one-step. It was published by the Joe Morris Music Co. in New York City in 1918.
