From Australia comes this "Rag-time Oddity", an interesting novelty piece by a composer who was also a classically trained singer. George Bryer published at least 23 compositions, many of them songs. He wrote this and "The Gene Greene Rag" as his main rag-related works. Overall there were a surprising number of ragtime-related scores originating in Australia. Published by the Pianola Co. in Melbourne, undated but assumed to be in 1912.
