Feedback[edit]

Very nice design! The question "Why participate?" Doesn't really get answered, instead it explains that there is a national competition. Perhaps a new question or a different answer? Otherwise the page is delightful and a huge improvement from previous years. Good work! Ainali (talk)

Also, can't there be something more than only a Facebook link for getting a contact? Perhaps a link here, or some official email, or any service that doesn't require login with a third party would be good. Ainali (talk) 12:20, 23 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
@Ainali: Thanks for the feedback! Happy that you like the design. When it comes to Why participate, we would be happy to improve the answer. Do you have ideas of what should or could be added to the answer?
As you see, we changed to encourage people to contact the organizing team. But perhaps you want an official email directly on the page? Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 13:47, 26 February 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Basically, I think the introductory part of the article should be the "sales pitch" and focus on the Swedish perspective, but the bulk of the current first paragraph (outlining the goals of the global competition) could work as "reasons to join" also in the Swedish branch. I would otherwise suggest an answer along these lines:
Submitting your photos will let others see the Earth from your point of view, Sweden has wonderful nature and several natural heritage sites that are worth each visit. Participating in the competition is a great way to experiment and learn which photos that gain recognition. You certainly don't need to be a professional photographer to take photos useful for Wikipedia. Here's a great chance to try it out! Entries to the local competition are eligible for selection to the international finale and did we mention there are prices to win?

The layout and color is more eye-catching and fun and I agree that it's nice. I'll however submit a few comments that you may consider related to that:
  • Using blue or red in text hints that those are links. I'd suggest changing the color of those headers.
  • Using >> to signify links I think is only an effect and not to be used in the text.
  • Prizes and Statistics are dead links. Are they planned for creation or mistakes?
  • Are the arrows in the right hand section there to symbolize a work-flow? They confused me and on mobile it looked different.
  • The mouse-over color change on the cup made it clear that it was a link, could that effect be applied on the other icons too? Also make the header linked.
I think the rules could be clearer too, it may be boarder-line to call it "layout" but I'll include the comments here:
  • Isn't #7 "duplicates" less of a rule and more of an instruction/advice? Otherwise make it a hard rule, e.g. "If same photo is submitted several times, all of them are disqualified."
  • The "watermark" part of #1 makes that rule less clear. Put it in a separate rule or add it to the #8 "mpx" rule that deals with photo format.

Thanks for your valuable input Jagulin! We have tried to update accordingly, where we can. Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 15:09, 7 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Saknat naturreservat[edit]

--Cart (talk) 02:59, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hej W.carter! Eric Luth (WMSE) (talk) 08:37, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
--Cart (talk) 09:24, 13 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

// Zquid (talk) 11:32, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

/Axel Pettersson (WMSE) (talk) 11:42, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
--Cart (talk) 11:47, 28 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
