AI generated images[edit]
Hello everyone!
A new user recently uploaded many AI generated pictures on which he added the {{Wiki Loves Africa 2024}} template.
Besides the numerous problems that led to a deletion request of all those files, I think it would be useful, given the rapid development and success of AI tools, to add something about AI generated images to the rules of this competition in the future. Because the user in question clearly was clueless about this topic and so was I when trying to answer him.
For instance: is it accepted for the competition? If so, what kind of AI generated images are accepted? Rules to follow, etc. Titlutin (talk) 11:00, 28 April 2024 (UTC)
- Dear @Titlutin,
- Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have now contacted the user and hopefully, the AI images uploads will cease. Unfortunately, we also have seen some other instances of this particular challenge from other participants and take responsibility for not making it clear at the start of the contest.
- I will ensure to update the rules in the future to reflect the contest organizers stance on the matter of AI generated content.
