Possible project -- finishing standard SVG presidential elections county map set

Hi. I found Category:United States presidential election maps by county (set) and they're very good but stop in 1872. It would be awesome if someone worked on getting the rest done sometime -- we have raster maps for everything back to 1840, so there's certainly data at least that far back.

Oh also Alaska in those maps before 2004 does not have borough/census area data -- just statewide -- though the state maps for presidential elections have it -- would be great if someone added it. DemonDays64 (talk) 19:40, 9 May 2021 (UTC)

File:2020 Senate Republican primary in Massachusetts by municipality.svg

Hi. I made File:2020 Senate Republican primary in Massachusetts by municipality.svg a year ago, and I think it was mostly accurate in the previous revision? But it got reverted to template and some parts changed by someone else, and I don't think the changes are accurate. I did it in a really dumb way (manually from like a pdf), would be great if someone could just remake it. Thanks, DemonDays64 (talk) 23:47, 30 October 2021 (UTC)

Colour for no votes

For Template:Awmcphee's proposal support level color scheme, is there a standard colour for no votes at all, eg. for precincts that has no-one living in it? Should gray (#808080) or black (#000000) be used or should the exact tie colour (#EBEEED) be used for this too? Twotwofourtysix (talk) 04:30, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

@Twotwofourtysix: Didn't previously. I got so fed up with inconsistency and not knowing what colors to use where that I spent a lot of time looking around at existing maps and putting it together. Elli (talk) 05:34, 24 November 2021 (UTC)

Expansion

There is a similar color scheme developed for reporting swiss referendum results with Template:Referendum color scheme.

I think this system has more nuance to it since it provides information every 5%, which is more helpful in referendum pages since a lot of results are closer to the 50% mark than the fringes. There is also a module that is developed to automatically report results on a color gradient (example page here) which could be used in future maps. Bluealbion (talk) 16:11, 13 November 2022 (UTC)

New Jersey 1927 Constitutional Referendum Question #4 map

Hi, I was wondering if someone could do a county map for question 4, based on the data here. I'm not greatly concerned with the other proposed amendments, since the article I'm writing is New Jersey's 1927 biannual elections proposal, that is, question 4. Much obliged.
