FoP Architecture

Why should FoP of Buildings, statuets etc on public display NOT be permitted as the quoted section of the law clearly states: “The media shall be permitted, without the authorization of the author and without obligation to pay him compensation, to publish pictures of architectural works, visual artistic works, photographic works or works of applied art, provided that such works are available in places open to the public.” which inmy opinion is clearly the definition of FoP!

There is an exemption for the media, which presumably means TV, newspapers, magazines etc. We need an exemption that states that anyone can use pictures of works displayed in public for commercial use. That would let restaurants, car makers etc. use the images in their advertisements. Aymatth2 (talk) 19:43, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
