Onam is mainly celebrated in Kerala and certain global regions with Kerala residents, the campaign aims to engage participants from all around the world. This broader participation enriches the content with diverse perspectives, cross-cultural comparisons, and a global understanding about the festival.
The campaign plans to document information ranges from the historical significance of the festival, encourages participants to capture high-quality images of various aspects of Onam celebrations, arts and dishes, creation of new Wikipedia, Wikibooks, Wikidata articles and the improvement of existing ones related to Onam.
