Comment My picture shows "ripe fruits", what you refer to is a "burst open fruit". That's a difference. For example: An apple is a fruit, but you can't see the seeds. Only in a burst open apple you can see them (or you cut it with a knife). --Llez (talk) 05:41, 21 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Comment The theme of the set is the plant Juglans regia as a whole in different aspects, and not the question of the relation of nut to fruit. In nature, the fruits are green, then they become black, they fall from the tree, you can collect them and pull out the nuts. But you can take a knife an cut in the pulp with a knife, while the fruit is hanging at the tree. In this case the fruit bursts open after some time and you can see the nut inside. In the image good example of ripe fruit, mentioned above, you see, that all borders of the pulp are straight and even. This is unnatural and it seems to be opened artificially with a knife. I never saw a fruit like this in nature. In the set I want to show, what happens in nature and not, what can be done artificially to get inormative pictures of the pulp and the nut. --Llez (talk) 10:18, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  •  Comment I see usually in the nature ripe nuts when ripe fruit bursts, the skin receives rupture, and the nut can drop out of fruit. If a wind swings branches then pure nuts without skin fall to the ground. A overriped turned black fruit too happens, however it is only 1-3 % from total. It is typical everywhere in Ukraine. I have few old nut trees near my house in the country. However the crop yet hasn't ripened. -- George Chernilevsky talk 10:51, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Question Is it possible, that there exist several "types" (wild, cultivars), which differ in this respect? In some types the most of the fruits burst and the nuts get free, in others they remain closed and get black ( as "my nuts"). Has anyone information about this? --Llez (talk) 14:50, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  •  Question Do the three terms husk in en:, pulp here and fruitpod in the image description mean the same? --Ikar.us (talk) 16:10, 22 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
