File:2018_-_Sonnenuntergang_im_Alten_Hafen.jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Baumhaus in the Wismar's Old Harbour, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. --Moahim 07:04, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •  Oppose Size is to small(1,76 MB) - You need more then 2 MB, your sensor have it. It´s a beautiful one--Hans-Jürgen Neubert 07:12, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Info I've uploaded larger version --Moahim 07:29, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support Better now --Ermell 08:19, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment Pretty, but is that full size? Always upload the full-size picture, and then you won't run into these kinds of problems. -- Ikan Kekek 08:27, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Info Now it is full size. --Moahim 09:43, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support - Very good, thank you. Are you now going to always upload the full-size file from now on? Please do. -- Ikan Kekek 22:01, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Firstly full  Support, the image has despite some noise in dark areas very good quality. Second: Hans-Jürgen Neubert, already the first image version fulfilled the requirements for QI. Please do not confuse the file size (here 1.76MB) with the number of pixels (here 2,700 x 1,730 -> 4,671,000 px). Thirdly: Again and again it is demanded to upload your pictures with full (native) resolution of the camera. This demand is by no means consensus and in many cases technical nonsense. --Smial 10:15, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Well, crops and such to get rid of disturbing objects or balance the image are OK while reducing the overall size is not. The guidelines are very clear on that.--Peulle 17:30, 19 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Yes, they are very clear: "We can't predict what devices may be used in the future, so it is important that our best pictures have as high a resolution as possible." And: "Images should not be downsampled (sized down) in order to appear of better quality.". There is no general exclusion of downsmpled images, only an exclusion of downsampling for one special purpose, and a demand for as high resolution as possible. There are lots of cases where demanding full native camera resolution is absolutely senseless. --Smial 13:04, 20 September 2018 (UTC)

  • Nomination The Bochumer Hut in the Kitzbühel Alps. Renomination after reload. --Milseburg 18:28, 11 September 2018 (UTC)

  •  Oppose It has been rejected before. Sorry. --Ermell 20:26, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment Anticipating the author's objection, I will point out that he has followed the correct procedure; the image has been modified since its previous rejection, so we can review it again. For context, the reason it was declined last time was the barrel distortion. The question now is: is there any, or has it finally been fixed?--Peulle 22:09, 11 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Comment OK, I guess that's right. But the right side of the house is bent strangely.--Ermell 07:00, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
  • Could you please reduce the highlights? Thanks, Yann 09:57, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Overexposed. All details in the white wall are lost. Yann 11:31, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
Question I wonder why you can´t see the texture on the plaster or are you expecting anything more. What? --Milseburg 11:42, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support - Seems OK to me. -- Ikan Kekek 10:02, 12 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support Convinced.--Ermell 12:40, 15 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Info I revised the picture after the criticism at the first nomination by choosing a different projection. After that, I think it's legitimate to let it run again. The building was built in 1832. It is not excluded that in such old buildings, the walls are not quite straight. To achieve a high resolution it´s a stitched work, but there is no overlap in the area of this wall, and it looks the same on the single frame. The lights are already reduced, so that details are visible on the plaster. I think it's enough for QI. --Milseburg 11:53, 14 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support Slightly weird coloration, but otherwise OK. GerifalteDelSabana 03:15, 18 September 2018 (UTC)
  •  Support I don't like the guy with the telephone, but g. q. anyway. --Palauenc05 15:51, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
But he is a great guy, I can assure you. --Milseburg 21:06, 20 September 2018 (UTC)
