- But QI guidelines mention "unnecessary or inappropriate use of artistic filters and effects" leading to "images have little resemblance with reality" as an issue. They also state that "motion blur should have a purpose, most often to emphasize motion" - while the "purpose" of motion blur in this picture is an artistic effect; it does not resemble reality or create an illusion of reality (like motion blur of a fast-moving object does). So from my point of view this is an interesting picture but not a QI. --Plozessor 06:32, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
- We shouldn't stick too closely to the rules. There is no mistake in the picture here, it is intentional. We should be able to find quality images in all areas. A very appropriate category was recently created for the excellent pictures: Category:Featured pictures by style and technique. --XRay 09:16, 24 November 2023 (UTC)
