Consensual review[edit]

File:Emerald Princess, Fremantle, 2016 (02).jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Emerald Princess, Fremantle, Australia --Bahnfrend 15:22, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •  Oppose Sorry, but the image is not sharp, it's blurred. --Halavar 15:54, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
  •  Comment It's a moving ship at sunset - how sharp do you expect it to be? - Bahnfrend 16:12, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
  •  Comment - I've looked at those photos, thanks. My cameras simply don't have the technical capacity to take photos like those ones, which are taken with a high resolution full format professional DSLR. Looks like I'll have to get myself a better camera. - Bahnfrend 05:45, 14 November 2016 (UTC)
  •  Oppose It would have been nice if it was at least as sharp as the other pic of the same ship you took three minutes earlier. W.carter 09:56, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
  •  Comment The pictures were taken with two very different cameras, and this one was taken first - Bahnfrend 12:55, 12 November 2016 (UTC)
  • Ah, that explains it, the cameras time stamps are not synced. I was wondering how the ship leaving could have been taken later, you could be in a car or something racing the ship. :) W.carter 13:52, 12 November 2016 (UTC)

  •  Oppose Black spots and smudges in the sky need to be cleaned.--Godot13 20:32, 7 November 2016 (UTC)
    • Sorry, i'm at travel, only with tablet. I edit this later. --Ralf Roletschek 19:37, 8 November 2016 (UTC)
  •  Oppose I don´t understand your try, to make a filename in russian. I´m sure, you have a reasonable explaination. --Hubertl 17:45, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Just curious: what is actually "перейти в Пальма-де-Майорка"? --A.Savin 22:25, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Ah, OK. Just entered "sundial in Palma de Mallorca" into GoogleTranslate and the output is "Солнечные часы в городе Пальма-де-Майорка", which is for me as Russian speaker much more plausible, even though it's just GoogleTranslate. Die vorgeblich guten Russischkenntnisse mancher Benutzer sind... äh... mit Vorsicht zu genießen. --A.Savin 22:35, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
I also would like to point out, that accents on written words are totally uncommon in Russian. Not that someone gets wrong impressions. --A.Savin 22:41, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
Comment Running "Ста́рый го́род Иерусали́ма" through Google Translate you get: "Old City of Jerusalem". The other parts of the title I don't like; underscores and Ralf's personal sorting system with numbers and dates don't necessarily go along with Commons' sorting system. Nontheless, writing the title in Russian is not against QI guidelines.--Peulle 10:07, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
    •  Comment Using English is not required (although desired, since more people speak it), the Guidelines simply say that the file page should: "have a meaningful file name, be properly categorized and have an accurate description on the file page in one or more languages".--Peulle 21:32, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
  • ✓ Done spots and smudges cleaned. --Ralf Roletschek 22:03, 10 November 2016 (UTC)
