File:Flight_and_Nectaring_of_specimens_of_Troides_helena_(Linnaeus,_1758)_–_Common_Birdwing_WLB_DSC_0132.jpg[edit]

  • Nomination Flight and Nectaring of specimens of Troides helena (Linnaeus, 1758) – Common Birdwing (by Sandipoutsider) --Atudu 12:55, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
  • Decline
  •  Support Good quality. --MB-one 13:03, 7 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Support Good quality. --VileGecko 09:59, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Oppose undeclared composite --Charlesjsharp 14:45, 9 February 2022 (UTC)
Comment Doubtful assumption about the photo being a composite, pinging @Sandipoutsider: , the photographer to confirm. -- Bodhisattwa (talk) 06:43, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Comment As the photographer of the image, I confirm that, this is not a composite image. The specimens where flying high above head. The faster shutter speed, high flash-sync and larger aperture have succeeded in keeping all three specimens relatively sharp and in focus. Thank you--Sandipoutsider 08:00, 10 February 2022 (UTC)
  • In that case, I would very much like to hear @Charlesjsharp: 's opinion on the quality in other areas, such as the sharpness. It's not totally crisp, but then the butterflies are moving, so it's not as easy as shooting them when they're sitting still... What do we think?--Peulle (talk) 08:45, 10 February 2022 (UTC)

* Oppose per Charles. I don't think his arguments have been effectively rebutted. -- Ikan Kekek 06:15, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

  •  Oppose Poor quality, it is possible to shoot much better pictures of insects in flight (if they are really in flight) -- Alvesgaspar 08:17, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
  • The too insects on the right are, in fact, the same. Check the details. Alvesgaspar 08:21, 12 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Comment See my detailed reply on Featured Picture candidates.--Sandipoutsider 03:28, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Comment In fact, the three butterflies are the same, as demonstrated by the wing pattern. Even if they were exact clones, which is never the case, the damage to the wings would be different (as noticed before by Charlesjsharp). Please withdraw the nomination, this is becoming uncomfortable. -- Alvesgaspar 06:08, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Comment @Charlesjsharp, Ikan Kekek, and Alvesgaspar: , the photographer has replied here. I think, we can assume good faith as there is sincere try from the photographer's end to explain his stand about the photograph. If the community finds the quality of the image not suitable for a QI, then it can always decline the request. There is no need to withdraw the nomination. -- Bodhisattwa 08:28, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
  •  Oppose Poor quality --Tagooty 14:42, 13 February 2022 (UTC)
Total: 2 support (excluding the nominator), 3 oppose → Declined   --Peulle 07:13, 16 February 2022 (UTC)
