There was no way the Soviet Union could boycott the 1936 Olympic Games, because the Soviet Union was accepted into the Olympic movement only in 1951: The Olympic Committee of the USSR was formed on April 21, 1951, and the IOC recognised the new body in its 45th session (May 7, 1951). --Surely-NFI (talk) 18:02, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Soviet Union at the Olympics confirms what Surely-NFI says. en:1936_Summer_Olympics#Soviet_Union does not say the Soviet Union boycotted.
