Belgium Herbarium[edit]
- Source to upload from: https://zenodo.org/communities/belgiumherbarium/search
- Do the media URLs follow a pattern? https://zenodo.org/record/NNNNNNN (the index numbers may not be sequential, but there are near each other)
- Does the site have an API? Yes. See http://developers.zenodo.org/.
- What else could ease uploading? (is the site valid XHTML, do they use a WCM…?)
- Did you contact the site owner? No
- Describe the works to be uploaded in detail (audio files, images by …):
Photographs of clippings from various types of plants, dried and mounted on cardstock. They are well-labeled but have very little metadata.
- Which license tag(s) should be applied?
- Is there a template that could be used on the file description pages? Do you think a special template should be created?
Standard templates should readily contain the available information.

Opinions[edit]
The site seems to have a LOT of almost identical images of each subspecies (around 160 for the one I checked, Ranunculus circinatus Sibth.). Uploading all of these is far too much, we should probably pick the best 5 or so for each subspecies.
The listed publication date should be ignored, as that is only the date the file was transfered to Zenodo from the original source, http://www.botanicalcollections.be/.
Some additional metadata can be gained by looking up the image barcode at the original source, http://www.botanicalcollections.be/#/en/details/BRNNNNNNNNNNNNN (as XML: http://www.botanicalcollections.be/specimen/BRNNNNNNNNNNNNN/rdf).
Note that the organization appears to currently be in the process of uploading the files to Zenodo, where they are receiving CC-BY-SA-4.0 (the original source has no license specified). – BMacZero (🗩) 15:56, 21 May 2019 (UTC)
