The three most important languages for this topic: Spanish, Japanese, and Korean. The Torrance Unified School District has published documents in these three languages.
- Spanish is of course common throughout California
- Japanese is common in Torrance because Honda and other Japanese companies have major operations in the city. Toyota USA has its headquarters in Torrance, but will move to Plano, Texas in a few years after this comment.
- There is also a Korean community in Torrance
