I added this category as it seemed logical to include depictions of a well-known scene of Xenophon's Anabasis under this category. @E4024: twice cancelled my modification. Here is his motive : "Then add all "Category:Turkey in art" under that cat. Trabzon is enough". The included irony does not make the point very clear, but I assume he thinks the category too wide and general. But in my opinion, the "Trabzon" category doesn't suffice as we are dealing here with depictions of a famous ancient literary work directly related to ancient Persia. I really can't see the problem here. Of course "Ancient Persia in art" is a bit general, but we can (and will) add more precise subcategories (something like "engravings of ancient Persia") once enough files have been placed in the general one. --Eunostos (talk) 15:10, 14 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No it's not logical. No consensus. (Next step you will add Category:Ottoman Empire in art to files about several centuries in cats of Athens. Or maybe you will never do it. Just joking, ignore the parenthesis. :) --E4024 (talk) 17:48, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
