Title[edit]

We certainly don't know if the maker intended to give a title to the object, but I think it is relevant to use the title field. Most old paintings had no title either but we use the word title. This may not be such a common practice for archaeological artefacts, but I think this is the most convenient word and the British Museum apparently thinks so as well.--Zolo (talk) 18:47, 12 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Context is rather different. Artwork is using Title in the sense of a given title for a work of art, whereas the BM are using Title (object) as a handy database record title for an object. By including the Title (object) in the description field with the caveat that this is "Known as" there is no ambiguity. --Fæ (talk) 00:00, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
