Rename

I understand that I am not the one who created this category. The person who created this category is also the uploader of all images in it. Unfortunately, the uploader had probably forgotten where he had taken these images and hence used an extremely generic name for the category. All these images were taken at the Maesa Elephant Camp. The person who created this category also created the generic "Category:Chiang Mai Orchids" which is now also in the process of being changed to "Category:Mae Sa Orchid Farm". Although both tourist venues are in the same Maesa District of Chiang Mai, for some reason one uses "Mae Sa" and the other "Maesa" in their name.

The fact that the images in these two categories (Orchid Farm and Elephant Camp) were taken only hours apart from one another, is proof that the category names as I have suggested is correct. Both tourist venues are very near to each other (see the text here on Tripadvisor), and are visited by tour groups on the same day, which is obviously what happened with the uploader.

After renaming this category, I will create a general "Category:Elephants camps in Chiang Mai" which will be put in to Category:Elephants of Thailand. There are a large number of elephant camps in the vicinity of Chiang Mai (see here on Tripadvisor) and this way, each individual camp can have their own category if enough images show up for each individual camp. This present category (Elephant show in Chiang Mai) can be changed in to a redirect but best is to delete it. - Takeaway (talk) 01:53, 22 June 2012 (UTC)
