Maintenance category or not?[edit]
Is there another category for images that are technically blurred but not meant to be deleted? Esby (talk) 23:18, 5 December 2010 (UTC)
- I have started one Blurred images with compensating significance. (Seems long overdue; images are sometimes tagged as "blurry" without consideration as to if it is possible to replace - eg photos of deceased in-scope persons, etc.) Suggestions for improvement and possibly better name welcome. -- Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk)
Low resolution[edit]
Many of these are not actually blurry but are low resolution, for example 640x480 or smaller. Asking for identical but sharper versions is unlikely to produce any, especially where the camera was a digital one and originally encoded the picture at this resolution. Do they belong here? - Theres no specific category fo low resolution, feel free to create one. Otherwise there would be the (more general) Category:Images of low quality or (for jpeg only) Category:Images with inappropriate JPEG compression. --McZusatz (talk) 16:36, 4 June 2012 (UTC)
