Subcategory for ionic coordinations?[edit]

I've recently been categorising files into this category and noticed that there is currently a good number of ionic coordination images (not all search results are actually relevant) image in it. Since they are usually quite different from the covalent compounds otherwise represented by images in this cat, would it make sense to create a subcategory for these? Ping @Benjah-bmm27, who appears to have uploaded quite a few of them. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿค๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿบ๐ช๐‘ค๐’†๐“‡๐Ÿท๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿœ๐“บ๐”ด๐•–๐–—๐Ÿฐ (๐—๐—ฎ๐˜ญ๐™ ) 11:16, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]

These coordination images depict more than just ionic bonding. Although the concept of coordination sphere is from inorganic chemistry, concepts like coordination number and coordination geometry apply equally to inorganic and organic compounds, and to ionic, covalent and metallic bonding. It's really about the structure and bonding in the immediate vicinity of the central atom. If you think it would be useful to have all these images in a dedicated category, feel free to make the change - I'd probably find it useful myself. --Ben (talk) 17:51, 22 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
