Français : Au 14e siècle, les décors architecturaux des édifices de Samarkand et de Bukhara, d’où pourraient provenir ces pièces, se caractérisent par un travail en très fort relief associant probablement moulage par estampage et sculpture. Le traitement du décor, qui joue d’effets d’ombre et de lumière, évoque l’art du stuc, du bois ou de l’ivoire.
