In Acts 16, Paul and his companions sail from Troas to Philippi in Macedonia (via Samothrace and Neapolis). They meet and baptize Lydia of Thyatira, a dealer in purple cloth. They expel a spirit of divination from a slave girl. They are jailed for disturbing the city. An earthquake opens the doors of the prison, and the jailer and his family are baptized. They are released from prison and leave the city.
