Español: Mercedes "Meche" Cabanillas Bustamante (Callao, 22 de mayo de 1947), es una educadora y política peruana. Alta Dirigente del Partido Aprista Peruano, es su Secretaria Nacional de Política. Fue la primera mujer en ocupar un cargo en el Consejo de Ministros del Perú, durante el primer gobierno de Alan García. Fue ministra del interior del 19 de febrero de 2009 - 11 de julio de 2009.
