compiled in the mid-15th century from earlier sources
among the preserved documents are 23 Anglo-Saxon charters and 7 Anglo-Saxon wills, including:
- will of Alfred the Great, ff. 8v–12r (one of just two surviving copies)
- will of King Eadred, ff. 22r-23r (unique surviving copy)
these are the only wills of Anglo-Saxon kings known
