Leon Rubay (1870-1937) was a French coachbuilder working for the American Rothschild & Co. and the White Motor Company before establishing his own enterprise in 1916. Financed initially by White, it was known as Rubay Carrosserie Automobile and Leon Rubay & Company in Cleveland, Ohio. From 1922 until 1924 he manufactured a medium sized luxury car in a separate venture named The Rubay Company. In 1923, bad health urged him to sell his company to the Baker-Raulang Body Company. The Rubay car was soon discontinued, but Baker-Raulang sold leftover Rubay bodies until 1927, and the Diana, a short-lived Moon-sub make, received Town Car coachwork designed by Rubay.
