English: Each year in June South Tyroleans take to the mountains and kindle thousands of fires on the mountain summit and slopes to commemorate the successful defense of Tyrol against French invaders in 1796
Italiano: Ogni anno in giugno nel territorio storico del Tirolo, quindi anche in Alto Adige, le cime delle montagne vengono illuminate dai fuochi del Sacro Cuore di Gesù, per mantenere fede ad un voto, fatto dalla popolazione tirolese, quando questa subì una delle invasioni napoleoniche nel 1796.
