Guy Tristram Little was a law partner at firm, Milles, Jennings, White and Foster, as well as solicitor and executor of the affairs of Mrs en:Gabrielle Enthoven, whos gift of 80,000 playbills, engravings, photographs, manuscripts and books around 1925, aged in her fifties, formed the basis for theatrical art at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Little himself was a collector of cart de visite and cabinet cards. He would carefully remove the photographs and frame them. His collection is huge. When he died in 1953, he bequeathed the collection to the Victoria and Albert Museum. The collection contains many excellently preserved portrait pictures of performers across the range of genres from the late nineteenth century to the early twentieth.
