English: Greatconnell Priory of St. Mary and St. David was founded as house of Augustinian Canons by Meyler fitz Henry in 1202. The monastery was suppressed c. 1540. Very few remainings including some parts of the east gable survived. The priory is located close to the River Liffey south-east of Newbridge. See Aubrey Gwynn and R.
