The Glasgow College of Building and Printing (now popularly known as the Met Tower), is a 14 storey tower building near George Square in Glasgow. The building is at 60 North Hanover Street and 63 North Frederick Street. A single storey interconnecting podium block facing Cathedral Street once existed but this was demolished in 2023 as part of the redevelopment works.
The tower is a Category B listed building. It was built in 1960-1964 to a design by Peter Williams, of Wylie, Shanks & Underwood, and strongly influenced by the work of Le Corbusier. It was built as the Stow College of Building (later "Glasgow College of Building and Printing"), which later was amalagmated into Glasgow Metropolitan College, and later City of Glasgow College. City of Glasgow College opened a new City Campus nearby in 2016 and the building fell into disuse. In 2014 the southern face of the upper floors of the building were covered in a large "People Make Glasgow" banner. Plans were announced in 2022 for conversion of the building into offices.
