Bertha Gerda Freudenberg (1896-1981). Gerda grew up with her brother Hans in Berlin. After her father's death in 1909, as a young girl she worked in a photographic workshop in Berlin. In their boarding house lived an economics student from Upper Silesia, a Pole, Leon Holona, ​​with whom she married in Heidelberg in 1924. They lived in Rybnik, then in Katowice. They survived the Nazi occupation in Warsaw, where they lived even after the war. Gerda did not work professionally. They had two children - Iwor and Ines. (Source: Zofia Soltys on October 22, 2023)
