English: Dileep (; born Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan Pillai on 27 October 1968) is an Indian film actor, and producer who works mainly in Malayalam cinema. He started his film career as an assistant director to Kamal. He rose to prominence as a lead actor during the early 2000s with films such as Joker (2000), Ishtam (2001), Kalyanaraman (2002), and Meesa Madhavan (2002).
മലയാളം: മലയാള സിനിമയിലെ മുൻനിര നായക നടൻമാരിൽ ഒരാൾ. യഥാർത്ഥ പേര് ഗോപാലകൃഷ്ണൻ. 1968 ഒക്ടോബർ 27ന് പത്മനാഭൻ പിള്ളയുടെയും സരോജയുടെയും മകനായി ജനിച്ചു. ആലുവ വിദ്യാധിരാജ വിദ്യാഭവൻ ( പത്താം ക്ലാസ്സ് 1985) തുടർന്ന് ആലുവ യു.സി. കോളജ്( പ്രീ-ഡിഗ്രി, തെർഡ് ഗ്രൂപ്പ് - 1987 ), എറണാകുളം മഹാരാജാസ് കോളജ് ( ബി. എ. എക്ണൊമിൿസ് , 1990 ) എന്നിവിടങ്ങളിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം നേടി.
