  • any spots coloured other than solid black or brown (DQ by FCI, AKC, KC, CKC, UKC)
  • "tricolor" i.e. dog has both black and brown spots (DQ by FCI, AKC, KC, CKC, UKC)
  • blue or partially blue eye(s) (DQ by FCI and UKC; fault by KC and CKC; permitted by AKC)
  • incompletely pigmented eyerim (major fault by AKC and UKC, fault by KC and CKC)

  • "monocle" spots surrounding an eye (DQ by FCI)
  • large (present-at-birth) patches (DQ by FCI, AKC, CKC, serious fault by UKC) (KC: "some patching on ears or head not to be penalized")
  • dog is white without spots (DQ by FCI)
  • "albinism" (DQ by UKC)
