D.L. van Kalken was a military photographer from the Netherlands (Dienst Legercontacten Indonesië). He was active in Indonesia during the Dutch-Indonesian war, and made photographs in the years 1946-1949. According to the book Het oog van de oorlog by Frits Baarda (ISBN 9789012060455) he was a sergeant-major in the Dutch army. (fl. 1985)
