During the 2020 Covid-19 lockdown in the United Kingdom, visitors to Bursted Wood in Barnehurst, London Borough of Bexley, began placing decorated stones together as part of a "snake", nicknamed Boris. Encouraged via social media, it also attracted coverage on mainstream media. By early July 2020, around 4000 stones were evident. A similar practice also appeared at Bexley Woods near Bexley and Lesnes Abbey Woods near Abbey Wood, both in the London Borough of Bexley.
