Clockmaker master in Paris from 1770, known for having produced for King Louis XV a spectacular musical clock representing the facade of the Palace of Versailles in 1772; approved in 1776 by the Académie Royale des Sciences in Paris for a "moving pendulum" placed in a lyre clock. Signs his works "Barbier the Young".
