The Avery Company was a manufacturer of farm implement and steam engines founded c. 1865 in Peoria IL. It built its first steam tractor in 1891. Tractors were made until 1924. It was reorganized as the Avery Power Machinery Company in 1925, and failed shortly after. There was a revival 1938-1941. They also made a small number of trucks.

Other Avery tractors were made by the B.F. Avery & Sons Company in 1915–1916, and 1942–1951 in Louisville, Kentucky.
